Hey BHT friends!! I am Ms. Hooker and I am the reading and math interventionist here at BHT.

I graduated from Lees-McRae College in 2011 with a bachelor in Elementary Education. I absolutely love school myself, and can’t wait to pass my passion for learning on to you!

I was born right here in Mount Airy, NC. I graduated from Mount Airy High School! I am proud to be a Mount Airy Bear!! I started volunteering in the school system when I was in elementary school and am excited to be working with some of the same teachers I worked with over 10 years ago!

When I am not teaching or planning awesome things for us to do at school, I enjoy reading, going to football games, and spending time with my daughter McKenzie, friends, and pets (I have a cat, Deacon and two dogs, Tucker and Lola).
